4th Week of the 4th Six Weeks! We have just wrapped up the lesson for linear relationships and are moving on to solving and writing two step equations. Last year you were introduced to one step equations, so we're taking it just a bit further this year. I will introduce you to the do/undo method on Monday and have plenty of practice during the week. A reminder that progress reports are coming up, which means TURN IN ALL ASSIGNMENTS! The video below is a fantastic introduction to the upcoming lesson.
3rd Week of the 4th Six Weeks! Make sure you are keeping up with your assignments! I know this past week was a little hectic with students being sick and the weather being horrible, but we do need to catch up. If you need to come in during lunch to catch up you are more than welcomed to. Make sure to come in ready to do your work, and have the assignments ready to go. We have been covering linear relationships and the first week of school we reviewed circumference and area of circles. We will have a mini assessment this week to determine how much we've learned, and then we will start with two- step equations. Don't forget the following information!
2nd Week of the 4th Six Weeks! What a great first week back! We had a great review of circumference and area of circles, and we have moved on to Linear Relationships. This week we will continue learning more about linear relationships using tables, graphs, and verbal descriptions. PROCEDURE CHECK FOR ENTERING CLASSROOM -- Grab your journal as soon as you walk into the classroom -- Turn in your homework to the appropriate area -- START THE DO NOW I know we were out for a couple weeks, but it is important we get back into the swing of the things. The video below will help solidify your understanding of linear relationships.
WELCOME BACK! I hope you enjoyed the break and that you spent it making a lot of wonderful memories. We will be going over procedures just in case you've forgotten where the homework drop off is located. :) We will have a review of circumference and area of circles for Tuesday and Wednesday. Starting Thursday I will introduce Linear Relationships! Be ready to tackle the second semester and the countdown to STAAR continues!
